Goa fire: Court grants 2 bail, denies GM plea
PANAJI, Dec. 24 -- A local court in Goa on Tuesday denied bail to Vivek Singh, general manager of Birch by Romeo Lane, where a fire killed 25 people earlier this month, while granting bail to two others - bar manager Rajveer Singhania and gate manager Priyanshu Thakur.
The three were among four managers arrested by the police on December 7, the day of the fire, and have remained in custody since. The fourth, chief general manager Rajiv Modak, is yet to apply for bail.
Meanwhile, the district court has reserved its verdict on the anticipatory bail pleas filed by sarpanch Roshan Redkar and panchayat secretary Raghuvir Bagkar.
