New Delhi, July 14 -- Delhi Police on Sunday said that an incident of glass shards being strewn on the Kanwar Yatra route in Dilshad Garden was caused by an accident, wherein a glass sheet fell off an e-rickshaw that was ferrying 19 such sheets. The incident sparked tension earlier in the day as lieutenant governor VK Saxena took note of the incident and police lodged an FIR. Further, police found that a video of the alleged incident was actually recorded over a month ago. Deputy commissioner of police (Shahdara) Prashant Priy Gautam said: "On immediate inquiry, it was found that the video had actually been recorded over a month earlier on June 10, and uploaded by a local resident."
