India, Jan. 21 -- A 23-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly biting and severing a piece of her husband's tongue at their house in Modinagar late Monday night, police said on Tuesday, adding that an FIR has been registered against her.

The couple married about six months ago.

Identifying the victim as Vipin Kumar, 24, and his wife as Isha Kumar, 23, officials said that the incident took place around 1am on Tuesday when the couple was in their bedroom at their Sanjaypuri locality-located house.
