India, Feb. 23 -- India head coach Gautam Gambhir wasted no time engaging in an animated discussion with opener Abhishek Sharma inside the team bus after India landed in Chennai on Monday for their second Super 8 fixture of the 2026 T20 World Cup.

India suffered a 76-run defeat to South Africa in their Super 8 opener in Ahmedabad on Sunday, their heaviest loss in World Cup history.
