India, Dec. 16 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finalised the player list for the IPL 2026 auction, confirming a total of 369 players who will go under the hammer in Abu Dhabi on December 16. The auction will take place at the Etihad Arena, with franchises competing to fill a maximum of 77 slots, including 31 reserved for overseas players.

Originally, as many as 1,390 players had registered for the IPL 2026 auction. Following scrutiny, 350 names were shortlisted, before the BCCI approved a last-minute addition of 19 players less than 24 hours before the bidding, taking the final tally to 369. According to reports, the late expansion of the list is an unprecedented move so close to an IPL auction.
