India, Nov. 20 -- Four teachers of a Delhi school have been suspended after a Class 10 student died by suicide over alleged mental harassment.

The family has alleged negligence and blamed the teachers for suicide, claiming that the boy was depressed for long and had informed the counsellors and teachers that he was going to commit suicide.

Police said the 16-year-old boy jumped from the platform of Rajendra Place Metro Station at 2.34 pm on Tuesday. He was taken to BLK Super Speciality Hospital, where he was declared dead.

The father of the Class 10 student has blamed his teachers and school principal for pushing him to take the extreme step.
