Pune, July 3 -- A SpiceJet aircraft's window frame came loose mid-flight sparking panic among passengers onboard the flight, even as the airline clarified that the component in question was a non-structural trim piece that did not compromise the flight's safety. The incident occurred onboard SpiceJet flight SG-1080 en route to Pune, shortly after taking off from Goa on Tuesday evening. Passengers seated near the affected window described detachment of the inner plastic shell and shutter, exposing insulation material underneath. "The structural outer window was intact.
