India, Oct. 31 -- A fire broke out at a luxury tent resort in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer late on Thursday, triggering panic among tourists even as no casualties were reported, police said on Friday. Tourists fled in panic as the flames spread rapidly, and five luxury tents were completely gutted.
Resort staff and some of the tourists tried to douse the flames by throwing sand, as no fire tenders or civil defense teams reached the spot in time. Eyewitnesses said the blaze was so intense it was visible from nearly a kilometre away.
