New Delhi, March 5 -- Five men were shot after two feuding groups exchanged fire in northeast Delhi's Jyoti Nagar on Monday night, police said.

Two amongst the injured, were bystanders. DCP (northeast) Ashish Mishra identified the injured as Akash Chikara, 31, Akash Mata, 21, Vasu Kumar, 22, and bystanders Ram Kumar Rana, 55, and Mukesh Singh, 45. Police received a call at 9pm reporting the shooting.

"Chikara and Kumar had a long-standing enmity, which escalated into gunfire," an officer said. Six rounds were fired. A case has been registered, but no arrests made. "The injured will be questioned once they are fit to give statements," the officer added.HTC
