five incidents of fire reported across city, at least 6 injured
New Delhi, June 6 -- Five major fire incidents were reported in the city on Thursday, and six people were injured in two of them, fire department officials said.
Four of these people were injured in an LPG cylinder blast in Seelampur in northeast Delhi, the Delhi Fire Services said. The fire began at 11.17 am and was doused by 11.45am. The injured were taken to a hospital.
Two workers were injured in a fire at a house in New Friends Colony. The workers were called to clean a resident's sofa sets and the blaze started when the thinner being used caught fire, fire officials said.
"The fire was soon doused," an official said, adding that the injured sustained 20% and 50% burns, and were hospitalised.
