Fire breaks out at Ravi Shankar Prasad'S house; none hurt: Cops
NEW DELHI, Jan. 15 -- A fire broke out at the residence of former Union minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravi Shankar Prasad in Chanakyapuri on Wednesday, officials said, adding that no casualties were reported.
According to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), a call about the incident at Kothi No. 21, Mother Teresa Crescent, was received at around 8:05 am. Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot immediately.
Fire officials said the blaze originated from a bed of the house. The fire was brought under control within half an hour and was fully doused by around 8:35 am. "Fire started from an electric warmer blanket in one of the bedrooms. He was not at home at the time of the incident," police said.
