Kanpur, Oct. 2 -- A final-year B Tech student of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur was found dead in his hostel room on Wednesday, with police suspecting it to be a case of suicide, making it the second such incident in the premier institution this year. The 22-year-old student from Mahendragarh in Haryana was pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, police said, adding the body was found in a decomposing state on Wednesday. "Prima facie, the body appears to be two days old. The student was last seen on September 28," Kalyanpur assistant commissioner of police Ranjit Kumar said.
