India, June 10 -- A man and his two children died after a massive fire broke out on the top floor of a residential building in Delhi's Dwarka Sector 13 on Tuesday morning. The incident took place around 10am when flames rapidly engulfed the entire top floor of the Shabad Apartment in Sector 13 near MRV School.

In a desperate attempt to escape the blaze, the man and his two children jumped from one of the floors of the building.

According to a fire official, the call regarding the blaze was reported at 10:01am, after which eight fire tenders were pressed into service.
