India, Feb. 23 -- Joint teams of the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) and the chief minister's (CM) flying squad on Saturday inspected an unauthorised ready-mix concrete (RMC) plant in Sector 89. According to HSPCB officials, the plant was found operating on a revenue property of Bhupani village without a valid environment clearance certificate from the board.

A senior official at HSPCB's regional office in Faridabad said the board had received several complaints from villagers raising environmental concerns.

"A surprise inspection was conducted after the CM's flying squad received a tip-off about the RMC plant operators not following pollution control norms," the official said.
