India, Jan. 24 -- The Kalyan Government Railway Police (GRP) on Thursday arrested a man for allegedly impersonating a Railway Board vigilance inspector and cheating railway employees by promising transfers and other favours. He was caught red-handed while allegedly accepting Rs.20,000 in cash, the final instalment of a Rs.60,000 deal, from a ticket booking clerk posted at Kalyan railway station, the police said.

According to the police, the accused, identified as Harish Kamble, is the son of a retired railway employee and has acquired extensive knowledge of railway operations.
