NEW DELHI, Dec. 26 -- A 24-year-old woman studying in Delhi filed a police complaint after her morphed photographs were uploaded on social media through multiple fake accounts bearing her name, police said on Thursday. A case was registered and a probe is underway.
"She said that she was under immense mental trauma. A case was registered under sections 67 and 67A of the IT Act, which deal with publishing and transmitting obscene material online," a police officer said.
A similar incident took place in 2024, when the woman was in Uttar Pradesh, but the accused could not be traced.htc
