India, Sept. 1 -- A fire has broken out north of Highway 12 near Pennsylvania Avenue in Fairfield, California. According to radio traffic, law enforcement is conducting localized evacuations in the affected area.

As per Incident Command, the fire is approximately one acre in size. Fire crews are on scene actively working to contain the blaze.

Photos and videos from the scene show significant smoke rising from the vicinity of the fire.
