New Delhi, June 25 -- Marking 50 years of Emergency imposed in 1975, the Delhi government is organising an exhibition at Central Park in Connaught Place on Wednesday. The event will feature rare documents and photographs linked to the Emergency during which civil liberties were suppressed for nearly two years under the then PM Indira Gandhi.
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, cabinet ministers, MPs and MLAs are likely to attend the "Sambidhan Hatya Diwas" (Constitution Killing Day). Meanwhile, another such event will be organised by the Union ministry of culture at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex where the chief guest will be Union home minister Amit Shah. htc
