India, Dec. 4 -- Kate Sullivan de Estrada is associate professor in the Department of International Relations of South Asia at Oxford University and directs the Contemporary South Asian Studies programme. In 2021, she briefly served as principal research analyst for India at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and has delivered expert testimony on UK-India relations to UK parliamentary inquiries. Her work examines India's identity as a rising power, the country's strategy in the Indo-Pacific and nuclear politics in South Asia. She is co-author of Rising India: Status and Power and editor of Competing Visions of India in World Politics.
