New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against the former Indian Coast Guard director-general K Natarajan and unknown others for alleged tampering of the Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs)/dossiers of senior officers.
The agency first initiated a preliminary enquiry into the matter in April last year. After nearly 10 months of probe, CBI found "instances of alteration" in ACR dossiers of many officers while Non Initiation Certificate (NICs) of few of them were found missing.
In its FIR registered on January 22, the anti-corruption agency booked Natarajan and unknown people under various sections including criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery.
