India, Aug. 1 -- Former Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna will depose before a parliamentary committee that has been set up to examine the 'One Nation, One Election' proposal. According to people aware of the details, he will appear before the committee at its meeting on August 11. Earlier, former CJIs DY Chandrachud and JS Khehar, who deposed before the panel on July 11, expressed concern over some "major gaps" in the proposed Bill even as both maintained that the proposed law does not violate the basic structure of the Constitution.
