Ahmedabad, March 6 -- Eight key agreements between governments and technology companies were signed at the opening of Gujarat SemiConnect 2025, securing preliminary commitments for major investments in India's semiconductor sector.
The deals involve Tata Electronics, Micron Technology, Taiwan Surface Mounting Technology (TSMT), NextGen and Jabil India, officials announced on Wednesday at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar.
Chief minister Bhupendra Patel said Gujarat is "fully prepared to integrate into the global semiconductor supply chain" under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, positioning the state as India's preferred destination for semiconductor manufacturing.
