Agra, April 14 -- Eight people were arrested on Sunday for the alleged gang rape of a 17-year-old girl, and assaulting and robbing a 21-year-old man, who was reportedly her fiance, in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Sunday, adding that efforts are on to nab at least two more accused.
Police said that the incident occurred on April 10 when the girl and the man were near a farm on Tatarpur road in the district. "Some of the accused gang-raped the girl and robbed the man accompanying her," superintendent of police (SP) Kasganj Ankita Sharma said on Sunday.
