New Delhi, June 5 -- Education minister Ashish Sood on Wednesday said the government has taken up several initiatives in the sector, including setting up CM Shri Schools and providing financial aid to all state universities and 12 Delhi University colleges, with Rs.275 crore released in the first instalment for staff salaries and other expenses.
The government has also launched free online coaching for competitive exams such as NEET and CUET, the minister said.
The government has also approved a Bill to regulate fees of private schools and curb arbitrary practices in private schools. The minister said an ordinance for the implementation of the Bill will be brought soon.htc
