India, Oct. 27 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) will hold a press conference on Monday evening to announce the first phase of the nationwide special intensive revision of electoral rolls, officials aware of the matter said on Sunday. According to officials, the conference will be held at Vigyan Bhawan at 4.15pm on Monday and will focus on the nationwide roll out of the SIR exercise. The first phase will cover 10 to 15 states and Union territories but will exclude states where local body elections are currently underway or imminent. P10
