India, April 13 -- An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 hit Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday at around 9:18 am. The depth of the earthquake was 5 km, according to the National Center for Seismology.

The exact location of the earthquake was latitude 31.49 N, longitude 76.94 E.

No incidents of casualties or damage to property have ben reported so far.

A little later, an earthquake of magnitude 5.9 hit Tajikistan too on Sunday, Reuters quoted the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) as saying. The depth of the earthquake was 16 km (10 miles).
