New Delhi, April 17 -- A hoax bomb threat was sent to Delhi's Dwarka court on Wednesday, police said, adding that the court complexes were evacuated and a search operation was conducted.

Dwarka Court Bar Association members said the court was closed for the rest of the day and no hearing took place.

According to police, a chief judicial magistrate received a threat email at 3.11 am. The mail said, "an RDX based explosive device has been clandestinely planted at the Metropolitan Court, South West, Delhi."

Police declared it a hoax after searches by Delhi Fire Services, bomb detection team, bomb disposal squad and dog squad.
