Due procedure not followed: Celebi to HC
New Delhi, May 22 -- Turkish ground handling firm Celebi Airport Services on Wednesday opposed the Centre providing "inputs" for revoking its security clearance in a sealed cover to the Delhi high court, claiming that aviation watchdog BCAS's order was "breach of principles of natural justice".
The submissions by the company came pursuant to arguments by the Centre on Monday, when solicitor general Tushar Mehta defended the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security's (BCAS) May 15 decision, attributing the same to "inputs" received by the government. The court was hearing Celebi's plea against BCAS's decision of revoking its security clearance, citing national security.
