New Delhi, March 4 -- The Delhi University Teachers' Association (DUTA) announced a strike at the University Grants Commission (UGC) on March 7, 2025, suspending classes over PhD and MPhil incentive increments, pay scale revisions, and DU college takeovers. "
We also rejected the draft UGC regulations," said DUTA vice president Sudhanshu Kumar. He criticised the UGC's February 10 directive, stating it contradicts 2018 regulations and "would unfairly impact faculty members."HTC
