DTC to redevelop depots, set up training courses
New Delhi, May 15 -- The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), in a board meeting chaired by transport minister Pankaj Singh, approved several initiatives, including an automated fare collection system (AFCS), EV charging expansion, and new training programmes. "Our vision is to provide citizens with a reliable, efficient, and world-class commuting experience," Singh said. AFCS, enabling UPI and card payments, is being piloted at three depots with Canara Bank at no cost to DTC. BBM and Sukhdev Vihar depots will be redeveloped into self-sustainable multilevel parking.
