Manchester, July 28 -- India salvaged a draw in the fourth Test against England with a show of grit and sheer defiance at Old Trafford on Sunday, and kept alive their hopes of tying the five-match series at the Oval.
The visitors were 425-4 in their second innings, thanks to centuries by Shubman Gill (103), Ravindra Jadeja (107 not out) and Washington Sundar (101 not out). India were 114 runs ahead of England when an early end to the final session was called. The resilient batting display sets up a tense final Test, which starts on Thursday.
