New Delhi, May 3 -- Pakistan's former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has acknowledged the role of his country's military establishment in funding and supporting extremist groups, echoing a recent admission by Pakistan's defence minister Khawaja Asif.
Both Asif and Bhutto-Zardari made the remarks in two separate interviews with Britain's Sky News. When Bhutto-Zardari was asked about Asif's remarks about Pakistan backing terrorist groups in an interview on Thursday, he replied, "As far as what the defence minister said, I don't think that it's a secret that Pakistan has a past as far as extremist groups are concerned.
