India, March 5 -- A man in Canada had his eyesight restored after doctors performed a surgery that required one of his teeth to be surgically embedded into his eye. When Brent Chapman's doctor first pitched him on the idea, he thought it sounded "science fiction-y"But his doctors reassured it that it's a common procedure that has helped many people regain their sight.
33-year old Chapman, who is blind in both eyes, was one of three Canadians undergoing osteo-odonto keratoprosthesis (OOKP) - or as it's more commonly known, tooth-in-eye surgery.
