Chennai, Nov. 3 -- The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its allies in Tamil Nadu will move the Supreme Court, challenging the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in the state ahead of the 2026 assembly elections, chief minister MK Stalin said on Sunday after chairing an all-party meeting on the issue. "Since the EC has not accepted our request to hold the SIR of electoral rolls after the 2026 Assembly polls, we have passed a resolution in today's all party meeting to approach the Supreme Court," the chief minister said in a statement. The AIADMK and BJP did not attend the meeting, which saw participation from 46 parties. P9
