LUCKNOW, Nov. 7 -- The question of whether it is fair for a vast and populous state like Uttar Pradesh to have only one Ranji Trophy team has become a significant topic of debate in domestic cricket. With approximately 250 million residents and 75 districts, UP is the most populous state in India and arguably one of the largest administrative regions in the world by population.
