Mumbai, Sept. 6 -- A day after a video showed him having an altercation with a probationary IPS officer and asking her to stop action against alleged illegal soil extraction, Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar on Friday said he did not want to interfere in police work and was only trying to "de-escalate" a tense situation. His clarification comes as police filed a case against 19 people for allegedly obstructing IPS officer Anjana Krishna as they were taking action against illegal soil excavation.P11
