India, Feb. 16 -- Delhi Police have launched an investigation into the tragic stampede that took place at New Delhi Railway Station on Sunday, resulting in at least 18 deaths. Officials said that police is reviewing CCTV footage from the station to piece together the events leading up to the chaos and determine the underlying cause of the deadly incident.

"Our main focus is to determine the primary cause that triggered the stampede. We will analyze all available data, including CCTV footage and announcements made during that time," a senior police official told news agency PTI.
