India, March 13 -- Metro operations on the Red Line (Rithala-Shaheed Sthal) were impacted on Thursday due to cable theft between Shahdara and Seelampur stations, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a statement.

Officials said that such cases create signalling issues and trains have to be operated at restricted speeds.

DMRC said there was a delay in services on this section, with efforts to be made to repair the impacted section during non-peak hours during the day.
