Delhi lose, Mumbai, Saurashtra win in Mushtaq Ali Trophy
New Delhi, Dec. 7 -- Delhi's hopes of building on their win against Karnataka two days earlier were dashed as Rajasthan pulled off a last-ball win in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
Delhi managed a challenging 175/5 with useful contributions down the order and then had Rajasthan needing 37 runs off 16 balls. However, Mukul Choudhary's unbeaten 26-ball 62 (1x4, 7x6) sealed the result in Group D.
Holders Mumbai, led by young opener Ayush Mhatre's 39-ball 69* after skipper Shardul Thakur's 3/19, beat Chhattisgarh by eight wickets in Group A while Puducherry crushed Bengal by 81 runs, off-spinner Jayant Yadav's four wickets helping dismiss them for 96.
