New Delhi, April 22 -- With temperatures soaring the Met predicting "higher than normal" heat from April to June, Delhi's labour department has issued a detailed advisory to protect workers from extreme weather conditions. As part of the city's Heat Action Plan, the advisory instructs all establishments - factories, shops, construction sites - to reschedule work shifts, avoiding peak heat hours between 12 noon and 4 pm "as far as possible."
The April 16 order mandates measures to safeguard workers exposed to outdoor environments.
