India, Dec. 16 -- The Delhi high court on Monday criticised the Delhi government for failing to comply with its directive issued nearly three years ago to fill the backlog of vacancies reserved for persons with disabilities (PwD) in government departments, and warned that it may initiate contempt proceedings.

A bench of chief justice DK Upadhyay and justice Tushar Rao Gedela was hearing a petition filed by the non-profit organisation National Federation of the Blind, which sought directions to the government to comply with the high court's March 2023 order.
