New Delhi, Feb. 5 -- The Delhi high court on Tuesday intervened in a legal battle over the estate of renowned fashion designer Rohit Bal, ordering a status quo on all his assets. This includes his Delhi residence, his stake in Rohit Bal Designs Private Limited, and any other property he may have left behind.
"To avoid dissipation of the estate of the testator, there will remain a status quo on the assets attached to the petition or any other properties left behind and not listed," a bench of justice Anish Dayal said in the order.
The matter arose from an application filed by Bal's close friend Lalit Tehlan, seeking to restrain the late fashion designer's step brothers - Rajiv and Rakesh Bal, from dissipating the estate by sale or transfer...
