Delhi HC defers Amazon's plea in trademark row
New Delhi, May 3 -- A division bench of the Delhi high court on Friday deferred a hearing on e-commerce giant Amazon's plea challenging a directive by a single judge to pay Rs.340 crore in damages to Amsterdam-based apparel brand Lifestyile Equities in a trademark infringement suit filed by. Taking up Amazon's appeal, a division bench of justices C Hari Shankar and Ajay Digpaul posted the matter on Wednesday noting that the matter required a detailed hearing even on the aspect of a stay grant.
"Matter requires detailed hearing even on the aspect of stay, with (deposit of) security," the bench remarked, after hearing the arguments briefly from both sides.
