India, April 29 -- The Delhi government on Monday launched the Vaya Vandana Yojana,a health insurance-cum-pension scheme for senior citizens, in the Capital by distributing 32 Ayushman Bharat cards to eligible elderly residents.

All Delhi residents aged 70 and above, regardless of income, are eligible for the card. Beneficiaries can avail free treatment worth up to Rs.10 lakh - Rs.5 lakh from the Centre and an additional Rs.5 lakh top-up from the Delhi government.
