India, Feb. 6 -- A 35-year-old Delhi Police head constable was arrested after a 34-year-old woman with whom he was in a live-in relationship allegedly shot herself using his service firearm at her high-rise apartment in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida West on Friday morning, police said.

The woman, a resident of Meerut, is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

A police officer said the woman had been in a relationship with the head constable, a married resident of Raj Nagar Extension in Ghaziabad, for the past few years and that they had been living together in a high-rise apartment for the past three to four months.
