India, Dec. 4 -- One of the world's foremost scholars on India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, Michael Kugelman is a columnist for Foreign Policy magazine, where he writes the weekly South Asia Brief. A non-resident senior fellow at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, he previously served as director of the Wilson Centre's South Asia Institute. He holds an MA in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. Kugelman has weighed in extensively on India's ongoing trade tensions with the United States. He has also argued that the renewed camaraderie between the US and Pakistan may further strain links between New Delhi and Washington.
