India, May 8 -- The Pakistani Army yet again resorted to unprovoked firing during the night of May 7-8 across multiple sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian armed forces retaliated effectively against the unprovoked firing. The firing, which involved small arms as well as artillery guns, targeted areas opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, and Akhnoor.
The firing comes a day after the Indian armed forces targeted terror infrastructure in the neighbouring country as part of 'Operation Sindoor'.
The Pakistani side targeted civilian areas in the Karnah area, firing shells and mortars after midnight, officials said.
