Day after cylinder blast at Bikaner shop, toll rises to 9
Bikaner, May 9 -- The toll in the cylinder blast at a shop in Rajasthan's Bikaner rose to nine, with five more bodies recovered from the debris and one person succumbing to injuries on Thursday, police said.
Additional superintendent of police (ASP) Vishal Jangid said, "The incident took place at a jewellery shop in Kotwali police station area on Wednesday. The impact of the cylinder blast led to the collapse of the shop, killing three people and injuring several others. Several were feared trapped under the rubble. At least eight people were rushed to the trauma centre at PBM Hospital. Five more bodies were recovered on Thursday and one person succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
