India, March 5 -- Nearly three months after a woman, 50, was found dead in a sugarcane field in Daund tehsil, a police investigation has revealed a conspiracy to make it look like a leopard attack, the police said on Tuesday. The Yawat police have arrested two persons in connection with the case who have been remanded to judicial custody till March 7.
Latabai Baban Dhawade, 50, a resident of Kadethan village in Daund tehsil, was found dead in a sugarcane field on December 8, 2024. Her face and head bore injuries, leading villagers to believe that she had been attacked by a leopard.
