India, Jan. 21 -- American chess grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky had several drugs present in his system at the time of his death last year, as per a toxicology report.
Naroditsky was discovered deceased in October 2025 at his residence in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was 29 years old. Authorities launched an investigation into his death, considering the possibility of a drug overdose or suicide.
At the time of his passing, Naroditsky had methamphetamine, amphetamine, 7-hydroxymitragynine, and mitragynine in his system, according to a toxicology report that was shared with NBC News by the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
